Soothing Ginger Lemon Tea with Honey

This brewed from scratch, ginger lemon detox tea will soothe your throat, kick nausea to the curb and just plain tastes delicious!

  • 2 lemons, cut in fours
  • 1 ginger root, 5-6 inches long cut in chunks (you can leave the skin on)
  • 4 sprigs thyme
  • 4 1/2 cups filtered water
  • 1-2 tbs honey optional for sweetening when tea is ready


  • Place lemons, ginger root, thyme and filtered water in a pot. Turn burner to medium heat and let ingredients simmer for 20 minutes. Let sit for 10 additional minutes with the burner off to let the flavors steep.
  • Use a strainer to separate the tea from the fruit and herbs. Pour into a mug and stir in honey to your liking or enjoy unsweetened.
